WELCOME!
My name is Kim Lazarus and I am the creator of TheVOICEof...AGodlyWoman.
I would like to thank you for taking this opportunity to
read and learn more about A Godly Woman, Inc. and how we
might be a blessing to you.
Brief Background
While going through some transition in my life, I decided
that it was time for me to grow in my spiritual walk and
in my knowledge of the Lord. I knew I was saved and trying
to live Holy but I was doing it all as a babe. It was time
for me to grow up if I was going to become a productive
part of the kingdom. To me that meant I had to study God's
word so that I might be able to have confidence in knowing
that I would be equipped to share the good news of Christ
with others so that they could come to know him as I do.
After all that is what we are here for.
So, here I am reading more, collecting books, taking notes,
etc. Okay great. Now I don't want to fool anyone into thinking
that God came out of nowhere and appeared to me and said
"Kim, I want you to build a website." Sorry, it
wasn't like that at all.
The vision was put before my eyes doing what it is that
I do everyday! I am a graphic designer and I build websites
for a living. That is a gift that God has given me. While
I was practicing some of my Photoshop techniques I thought
it would be helpful for me to have a product or name to
put on my practice design. Well while working, I was meditating
on the things that I was learning in my studies so I just
applied the concept of A Godly Woman to the design that
is sitting on my computer screen. And "Voilla".
There it is. So to further develop the site I use the notes
from my studies and."Voilla" again. I'm on my
way. It was about a week before I realized that the information
I had been studying, presented in the format it was now
in, could be used as a ministry tool to help others who
might be studying in the same areas as me. So the vision
was conceived.
This newsletter is just an extension of that vision.
Moving Forward
It's been about six months in the making now, and I'm
still working through the details, but I have been given
the blessing of my husband and pastor to move forward. I
really believe that this is more than a good thing, but
that its a God thing. I have been truly blessed by
the information and I am confident that you will be too.
I invite you to take the opportunity to review the website,
let it be a tool to assist you in your own personal studies
and share what God reveals to you with a friend.
Be Blessed!

AGodlyWoman.com is LAUNCHED!
|
The mission of the website AGodlyWoman.com is to have a
medium in which to share with as many women as possible
the concept of what it really means to be "A Godly
Woman" and the impact that working towards such a title
can have on our everyday lives. The goal is to inspire women
to be all that they can be IN THE LORD because having success
in this one area spreads success throughout all that you
do. God's word says in Joshua 1:8, "This Book of the
Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate
in it day and night, that you may observe to do according
to all that is written in it. For then you will make your
way prosperous, and then you will have good success."

How is YOUR Vision?
One of the challenges in my faith walk, and I dont
think Im alone, has been how to know when I have a
vision from God for an area of my life. I often asked myself,
how do I see Gods vision for me.
Time and study have taught me that to see the vision that
God has for your life, you must set aside your way of seeing
and ascribe to God's way of seeing. Most people at some
point in their lives tell themselves, "I know what
I'm doing." Guess what? If God isn't in it, you don't
have a clue.
Proverbs 14:12 reads, "The ways of a man seemeth
right but it leads to a path of destruction" and we
should all know that destruction is NOT the vision!
Now once we recognize that our ideas that did not come from
God are not the vision for our lives, how do we open ours
eyes to the true vision? Well simply stated: Turn on the
light. God's word says that Jesus is the light. Accept Jesus
as your personal Savior and you've just taken the first
step to seeing the real vision for your life!
Now as we are on this journey called life, the Lord presents
several things to us. Most times the problem is that we
either don't see them at all because we are too busy looking
at other things OR we see it and we don't believe that it
is for us. (or we don't want to accept it as our own) Then
you may ask, How do we begin to clear up this picture? Well
I say we put it to the test.
My pastor calls the following three principles the Rules
to God's Vision Game.
1. If I can't see Christ in what I do - It is not the Vision!
2. If I can't worship God in what I do - It is not the Vision!
3. Following God's ORDER
gives me Authority in the Vision game!
I translate #3 like this: If you know that you are living
by the principles and guidelines that God has established,
you will have confidence in acting on the vision that God
has set before you. That is the authority!
Some real life applications to give you an idea of what
we are really talking about. I'll use relationships in my
examples since that is something that should be able to
hit home with most women.
Example #1 - Do you have a vision to be married but
it just doesn't seem to be happening? Maybe you've been
dating the same guy for a few years now and he just doesn't
seem to be ready to settle down. Well answer this: Before
dating this man did you present yourself as "A Godly
Woman" that desires to be in the Godly union of marriage?
Does this relationship line up with Gods order
for your life? If not, your husband might be right around
the corner waiting for you to get out of this disorderly
relationship because it is NOT the vision!
Example #2 - Maybe you are dating Mr. Right and he
has asked you to marry him but you aren't ready because
you are fearful that he is going to hurt you or cheat on
you like your high school sweetheart did. The vision is
right there in front of you but you don't have enough faith
to step out on because you are stuck in the things that
youve seen in the past and aren't willing to forgive.
Its easy to get stuck in hindsight, or past vision,
and not be able to receive the vision that God has for your
present and your future. If this is you then it is time
to let go and move on.
If you fall into either one of the scenarios or maybe something
else, it sounds like it is time to apply some of the principles
of being A Godly Woman to your life so that the vision can
be clarified for you.
Jesus says in John 9:39 that we must be blind so that we
might see, and those that think they already see (without
Him) will be blind. It is time to concede that you don't
have all the answers and be renewed in your mind by the
word of God. Through him and his word the vision will be
made plain. It is then that you will be able to act on it
and have the victory!
